Groundbreaking Ceremony Celebrates Start of Construction
More than 400 guests gathered at the future site of Stoneridge Creek in Pleasanton to share their excitement at the official groundbreaking celebration. Local dignitaries, elected officials and more than 100 future residents were on hand for the ceremonial turning-of-
the-dirt and luncheon on Monday, October 24. The event was hosted by Continuing Life Communities, developer of Stoneridge Creek.
Continuing Life Communities chairman Warren E. "Ned" Spieker, CEO Richard Aschenbrenner and vice president Troy Bourne were present to lead the ceremony. Special recognition was given to Jim and Pat Kohnen, who were the very first people to reserve their new home at Stoneridge Creek four years ago.
Guests celebrated the beginning of construction with a catered barbecue lunch and live music provided by The Cash Tribute Show. Following the event, guests were invited to take guided tours of the site to view the progress of their future community.
More than two-thirds of the homes in the first phase have been reserved. When all phases are complete, Stoneridge Creek will offer 635 homes, a fitness center, open-air pool, performing arts theatre, art studio, short-game golf course, tennis courts, dog park, walking and cycling trails, and bocce and croquet courts.
